We are so excited that autumn has arrived, bringing with it a new way in which we may adorn our cheeseboards.

Cathy says using foods now being harvested are festive when placed on a cheeseboard. At present she likes to use fruits like champagne grapes, pairs, figs and melons (including cantaloupe).

Featured Cheese – A Salute to the Scots

NEW! St. Andrew’s Farmhouse Cheddar

This lovely Scottish cheddar produced from grass-fed Holstein Friesian Cows is buttery yellow with a creamy texture. Aged 9-12 months, St. Andrews Farmhouse Cheddar has a bold flavour with a well rounded lingering finish.

Highland Blue is Back!

Back Forty Artisan Cheese, Highland Blue

Named for our beautiful Lanark Highlands and the many Scots who settled in this area. Highland Blue is a tangy and rich blue cheese with a natural rind and delicate overtones of blue mold combined with butter and mushroom… The cheese is full-flavoured, earthy and savoury with less salt and acidity than many blues. The Highland Blue is a Royal Winter Fair ribbon winner! – Back Forty Artisan Cheese

Pairs well with Late Harvest Riesling or Vidal, Tawny Port, Oatmeal Stout or an Ice-Cider.
